Aaron Jacob Keeney has been praised for his "rich and agile voice" (Arts Knoxville).
Aaron is a recent graduate of the Resident Artist Program at Minnesota Opera, with whom he performed the roles of Sid (Albert Herring), Ophémon (The Anonymous Lover), and Escamillo (Carmen) directed by Denyce Graves. He also developed and performed a recital centered around his favorite passage from Paradise Lost, highlighting works by living composers. An avid performer of concert work, his recent engagements include Haydn's Creation and Bach's St. John Passion. He is a graduate of The Juilliard School, from whom he received the Novick Career Advancement Grant, and is a prize winner in the Gerda Lissner Song Competition.
